Little Harry has gone to stay with his grandparents. It's his first time away from home and it's very dark. As he tries to sleep, he keeps hearing strange noises but Grandpa reassures him its only the radiator or a plane. Finally Harry settles down, only for Grandpa to be woken by his snoring.

Toddlers everywhere will love What's That Noise , an excellent story by Francesca Simon about a first-time sleepover at grandma's and grandpa's house. Harry goes to bed and the strange noises start... Reassured by grandpa, he eventually goes to sleep and then comes the surprise for both his grandparents!

My grandchildren just love this book

I totally recommend this book! My 2 1/2 year old son absolutely loves it. We initally got it out from the library at his playgroup and he wanted to read it 4 or 5 times per day. We could only keep it 2 weeks, so I quickly ordered it from Amazon. He was so happy when it arrived in the post (having been disappointed when we took it back to the library). It remains a firm favourite! It has a lovely story with great illustrations and a line that is repeated throughout (which he repeats with delight). It has certainly captivated my little boy's imagination and he especially loves the noisy radiator and wants me to draw it for him. A must have!

My three year old started to worry and question noises (especially around bedtime) and this book was lent to me by his nursery and was so good I had to buy him his own copy. The story is great, all about a little dog that goes to stay with his grandparents for the first time and there are lots of strange noises, my little boy is constantly saying "What`s that noise" so I think he could identify with it and it has actually stopped him worrying and questioning noises! So definately a good buy!

This is one of my favourite children's book I read it years ago to the children I care for as a child minder and I have introduce it to my granddaughter and it has become one of her favourites too. As a toddler and her language is developing she often uses some of the phases in conversation.sincerelyWanda Roberson
